Before this became a movement, it all started with one very special cat.
Twitchy's Story
Cotton, affectionately known as Twitchy, was rescued from a heartbreaking situation when he was just six months old. Malnourished, dirty, and weighing only three pounds, he struggled to move due to Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition that affects balance and coordination. His unsteady, jerky movements earned him the name Twitchy, and despite his challenges, he quickly became a beloved part of our lives.
In 2020, Twitchy crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but his spirit lived on. My husband, David Reimer, painted a tribute to him—an artwork that resonated with so many people, sparking unexpected interest in Twitchy’s story. What started as prints soon expanded into mugs, coasters, and eventually coffee, which we began selling at art events. As Twitchy’s following grew, we realized something special was happening. By 2022, we knew we had an opportunity to turn his story into a movement—one that would support the rescues we’ve been volunteering with for over 24 years.
