Twitchy's Friends

Max is a 12-year-old black lab who truly loves everyone he meets.

When my niece — who works at a local Golden Retriever rescue — told me I had to meet “the best dog ever,” I expected a golden retriever… not a black lab. But she was absolutely right about one thing: Max is pretty special.

​

Max was surrendered from a breeding facility because of his age and spent nearly a year waiting at the rescue for a family of his own. During that time, he quickly became a favorite among the staff and volunteers.

​

Now, Max spends his days relaxing on his orthopedic bed, soaking up attention, and hanging out with his brothers Boone, a yellow lab, and Tikki, a yorkshire terrier. He still visits the rescue from time to time, where he helps comfort shy new dogs and reminds everyone just how gentle rescue dogs can be.

Because of his sweet personality and calm spirit, we’re so excited to announce that Max will be the featured pet on our upcoming decaf coffee bags, coming this July!

​

Max is usually very well behaved and rarely gets into trouble… but one day I accidentally left a bag of Twitchy Coffee unattended. The next thing I knew, he had coffee scattered all over his bed and looked very proud of himself.

​

Not exactly how we recommend enjoying your coffee… but Max seemed to approve anyway.
